timelapse panoramas

Finally, here is my “motion panorama movie” collection from 2005 / 2006. I have recently revised these a bit and put them into the latest SPi-V timelapse format which works a great deal better than the previous one. It is still very demanding and requires >1gb of RAM. But it loads faster, and is much smoother, and tends to crash browsers a bit less. Soon I will put all of these into DevalVR format which also has a timelapse feature that works very well.
The first set of timelapse panoramas I did successfully is from Kamenny Privoz, Czech Republic, where we used to live.
REMEMBER! I cannot guarantee that these panorama movies will work on your computer. They could possibly crash your browser. And, they require the Shockwave plugin.
- The front of the bridge going across the Sazava River.
- Back of the Bridge
- Just around the corner from the Stara Posta hospoda (a pub run by a guy who looks exactly like Mo from the Simpsons).
- On our balcony
- Behind our house. Here you might notice one frame of the sequence where our house is getting flooded ;-)
We moved away from this beautiful village, so these 5 timelapse panoramas are basically finished… I do have a few more panoramas of the above 5 locations except for #5 because our landlord heartlessly removed the spike I was using as a tripod. I started a new set of timelapse panoramas in Prague — in Letna park, which is a very beautiful place on the northern part of prague, just across the river from the Old Town.
The below timelapse panoramas are only from October - December 2006. I have completed a full year from the below locations as of October, and soon I’ll find some time to dig them out of my hard drive….
- In the beergarden, overlooking Prague Old Town.
- In the middle of the beergarden
- Somewhere else in the park under some horse chestnut trees.
Finally, Here is the timelapse panorama from a boat!
shot while attending the 2007 Panotools meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland, I had a chance to take a boat ride in the rain with my esteemed colleague Wim Koornneef and his wife Margriet.
Please allow at least 2 minutes for all of the panoramas to load. Each movie has between 10 and 26 “frames” of about 500kb each, so you have a to wait for a few megabytes to load before the movie is going on full speed. Before that, the frames will change quite slowly, once every few seconds.
Enjoy!
